Inclusive Acts
Inclusive Acts: Is an after school, Pro-D-day and holiday arts program for youth ages 11-16 who live on the autism spectrum. The Chop provides the space, a varied lunch chosen by the participants, body breaks, swimming excursions, and continued D&D quests with their dungeon master, learning leadership and math, fine motor skills, as well as negotiating real-time conflict while on quests. To date, we’ve provided over 200 hours of life skills, socialization and their very own ”club house” to our neurodiverse teen community. In 2027/28, we take a big leap forward and begin ‘Inclusive Acts Independent School’. An educational program that focuses on performance and art. They will learn lighting, sound, set building, public speaking, box office, and animate the Performance Chapel when the Chop presents its annual Spring Talent Show, and Holiday Vespers. The long-term goal is for Inclusive Acts students to graduate from high school with additional training in theatre, music, and performance to support their financial independence, and embed them into our community as leaders and art-makers for years to come.
